Global Nickel surplus drops to 100 tons during March: INSG

Global nickel surplus dropped to 100 tons during March from 10,600 tons a year ago and a revised 18,700 tons in February, as per the latest figures from the International Nickel Study Group.
According to the INSG figures, the March surplus figure was the lowest since the market slipped to a deficit of 2,300 tons in April last year. The production of primary nickel in March was 157,700 tons and consumption was 157,600 tons. Nickel stocks held by producers stood at 90,100 tons in February, down from 93,000 tons in January.
