430 Stainless Steel Coil

430 Stainless Steel Coil is a kind of Martensitic stainless steel , usually with 11.5% chromium up to 18% chromium, with higher levels of carbon than ferritics, and are capable of being heat treated to a wide range of hardness and strength levels.

American iron and steel institute (AISI) use three numbers to clarify different types of steel which are 200, 300, 400 and 600 series. According to the components which could be discriminate into "nickel-chromium-manganese, chromium-nickel and chromium series." The main element of Martensitic stainless steel is chromium, which could be enhanced by heat treatment and possess magnetic; Stainless steel 430 are more commonly used materials in 400 series stainless steel which could be used in lower corrosive, higher strength, hardness and wear-resisting environments. Martensitic stainless steels are used extensively in cutlery, sport knives and multi-purpose tools.
